לפני שאני בכלל מעכל מה קורה, אני מוצא את עצמי בחדר מיון. הרופאים ניגשים אלי בראש מורכן. “אנו מצטערים מאד, אבל זה לא טוב. מאד מאד לא טוב. עברנו על צילום ה-CT … זה עניין של שעות, אם לא דקות…”

ואז, פתאום, אני תופס כמה יקרה היא כל דקה שיש לנו לשהות עם הילדים והאשה. אילו רק הייתי מבלה את כל ארוחות הערב ההן כששתי ידיי וראשי מרוכזים במשפחה שלי, ולא כשהם בודקים ללא הרף איזה הודעות נכנסו.
